Tonesia peacefully entered eternal rest on Feb. 4, 2025 in Nairobi, Kenya following an illness.

She was born on June 4, 1982, in Richmond, VA to Sharletta Clement and Robert Lewis. Tonesia was a devoted mother to Lamon Turner, of Richmond, a loving daughter, sister, cousin and friend to many.

A consummate fun person, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, playing bingo and traveling. As a licensed nurse, she nurtured her patients with compassion and empathy. It is what led her to travel the world to places like Egypt and Kenya.

To know Tonesia was to love her. She leaves to cherish her memories, her parents, her son , her sisters, brothers, other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Juliette Bailey.

A memorial service will be held in Nairobi on Feb. 15, 2025. Arrangements at Lee Funeral Home.
