One of the most anticipated events on the national basketball calendar is back. The 2025 Iverson Classic, the #1 NBA-certified All-American Game, is taking over Hampton, Virginia, May 1st – 3rd, 2025, bringing together the country’s top-ranked NBA prospects for a week of elite competition, cultural celebration, and unforgettable moments.
Before the main event tips off at the Hampton Coliseum, fans can experience Iverson Classic All-American Week starting May 1 at the Allen Iverson Gymnasium at Bethel High School, Iverson’s alma mater. The day will feature a full slate of fan-favorite events including the 24K Showcase, the Dunk Contest, the Three-Point Shootout, and more.
Tickets are available now at IversonClassic.com/2025 [iversonclassic.com] and are expected to sell out quickly.
“It’s a reflection of the culture, the game, and of everything that made me who I am,” said NBA Hall of Famer and Hampton native Allen Iverson. “Bringing it back to here—back home—means everything.”
This year’s roster is stacked with the next generation of basketball stars, including Nate Ament, Darryn Peterson, Meleek Thomas, Caleb Wilson, Kiyan Anthony, Eli Ellis, and many more. Previous Iverson Classic alumni include Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Paolo Banchero, 3x NBA Dunk Champion Mac McClung, and others now dominating at the NBA level.
Each year, the game delivers intense matchups and viral highlights—earning praise from major outlets like SLAM Magazine, who called it “the most competitive game of the year.”
Known for its raw edge, explosive competition and authenticity, the Iverson Classic blends high-level basketball with cultural heat. Surprise celebrity appearances have become a tradition, with past guests including Tracy McGrady, Ja Morant, Stephen Jackson, Rasheed Wallace, and hip-hop artists like NLE Choppa, Jadakiss, and Fabolous making unannounced appearances.
The event is curated by Iverson himself, alongside branding legend Jai Manselle and grassroots basketball icon Bobby Bates Jr. It has evolved into a movement that seamlessly fuses hoops and culture like no other live basketball experience.

The Iverson Classic, the #1 All-American game in the country by social viewership, held its first All-American game in 2017 and represents a disruptive, independent new force in the sports world. Iverson Classic is truly a unique experience. It’s the only grassroots basketball event of its caliber that is run by a Hall of Fame legend who is hands-on, engaged, and involved directly with the players. These soon-to-be NBA stars actually train and compete under the guidance of Allen Iverson and other NBA legends. The week-long event is owned and operated by Iverson Manselle Bates Enterprises, a sports and entertainment company co-owned by Allen Iverson, Jai Manselle, and Bobby Bates.
